Hi,
Oracle:10.2.0
Windows2000server
I am trying to create a standby database in same machine for practice.When creating using RMAN it gives error
RMAN> run

Use code tags and not quote ones to post code.
Have a look at these lines:
*.DB_NAME='orcl'
duplicate target database to stdby
So:
"database name mismatch, auxiliary instance has ORCL, command specified STDBY"
