HI,
I had given IZO-007 in Jul-2009,now moving forward to become as a OCA so decided to give IZO-147 exam in coming few months.
So can you confirm me whether I'll eligible for this after long time or not. I also seeing one of new exam for Pl/sql is IZO-144,
so confirm me if I take IZO-147 in nearer days so in future what will happen, My OCA will not be valid or will be remain same.

Regards,
MAnish

If we plan for this so what would be best IZO-147 or IZO-144?

You've asked two questions. First whether a PL/SQL OCA certification gained by passing 1Z0-147 will be valid after the exam is retired. The answer to that is yes. I wrote an article that explains in more detail your options here:

http://ezinearticles.com/?Oracle-Exam-1Z0-147-Is-Being-Retired:-What-Does-That-Mean-to-Me?&id=7547879

Your second question is whether taking 1Z0-144 would be better than taking 1Z0-147. Personally, I consider 1Z0-144 the better exam, as I explain in this article here:

http://ezinearticles.com/?Oracle-PL/SQL-Developer-Certification:-1Z0-147-or-1Z0-144?&id=7190832

My own recommendation would be to pursue 1Z0-144 unless you are reasonably far along in preparing for 1Z0-147. It is a better exam and it eliminates the July 31st deadline.

Is the exam topics list for 1z0-147 changed as it is not showing the following topics.

More Trigger Concepts
Managing Dependencies

If yes then will the questions from above two topics be excluded from the exam as I will be taking this exam soon.

Thanks in Advance.

Oracle won't have changed the exam a few months before retiring it. They have been experiencing some issues with their web site recently, though. A few days ago I noted (and reported) a similar error with topics missing from the 1Z0-117 exam.

Well, I'm the only person in the world who has published study guides for both the 1Z0-147 exam and the 1Z0-144 exam. However, I can see how that's not good enough for you to take my unsupported word for it. Presumably you were asking the question on this forum looking for an expert reply.

Of course the test has been in existence since version 9i. Oracle 10G was released in 2003, so it has been around for more than a decade. It makes a huge amount of sense that Oracle Education might decide to drop two topics four months before retiring the exam. This would impose an incredible amount of hassle upon Oracle Education and Pearson Vue to shuffle all of the questions on the various language versions of the exam to account for the missing topics. Of course the change would also make obsolete all of the Oracle Education and third-party courses for this exam as well as any practice tests designed for the exam over the years.

I assume that you don't care whether dropping these topics makes sense. You want to be absolutely sure that you don't accidentally learn something that isn't required for the test. In that case, I'd recommend opening a forum thread on the OTN certification forum so that someone from Oracle can provide you with a definitive answer.
