I am trying to import a dump file from an Oracle 8i db version 8.1.5.0.0 on a solaris platform into a different Oracle instance of the same version. It was created with buffers=8000000 file=pamsstats.dmp owner=pams statistics=estimate log=pamsstats.log rows=n. I try the command in sqlplus:
SQL> import file=pamsstats.dmp analyze=n log=pams.log and I get the following error message:
SP2-0042: unknown command "import fil..." - rest of line ignored.
The same thing happens when I use imp instead of import. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Amber
